2008 Fanfests Thread

I think it would be interesting here to post upcoming MLB and MiLB fanfests for the 2008 Season here.

I'll keep you guys posted if I hear anything about the local MLB fanfests here in SF Bay Area.

Just curious if anyone here is going to BravesFest this year? The reason that I'm asking is because I would like to get John Smoltz on an FCA "Sharing the Victory" magazine that I've already got signed by Tim Salmon and Mike Sweeney, with Smoltz the only other one that I need....Anyway, if you can and are willing (if he's there signing), please PM me and we can discuss some details...Thanks...

I've noticed that with fanfests, you have to wait a week before the event to know the roster of players that may be there to sign.

I hate the way the Marlins do theirs. If you want to get autographs, you have to pick a line, and HOPE you get someone who isn't a scrub. It's totally random. I did it once in 2000 or so, and ended up with the immortal Kirt Ojala.

I suggested to them that the Twins' system, where they get basically every player and a bunch of legends to show up for a flat signing fee for the event would be perfect. They said they would consider it. We'll see...
