ARLINGTON -- Plans have been finalized for the 2009 Texas Rangers Round Up Winter Caravan. Presented by Academy Sports and Outdoors, Rangers executives, players, coaches, and alumni will make over 50 appearances at schools, civic clubs, and military installations over the next month in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Highlighting the 2009 Caravan will be 12 public appearances at Academy Sports and Outdoors locations in the three-state area. That will once again include four Town Hall programs in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, where fans will be able to participate in question and answer sessions as well as receive autographs from Rangers personalities and Rangers Captain.

The 2009 Caravan begins Jan. 9 with the first Town Hall at the Academy Sports and Outdoors in Grapevine. The complete schedule of Rangers appearances at Academy Sports and Outdoors locations (all are open free of charge to the public; schedule of participants is subject to change):

Friday, Jan. 9 -- Town Hall/Autograph Session, 1523 State Highway 114 West, Grapevine, 6:30-8 p.m. Scheduled to appear: German Duran, Ian Kinsler, Jackie Moore, Jim Sundberg, Josh Lewin.

Saturday, Jan. 10 -- Autograph Session, 3677 Emporium Circle, Mesquite, 11:30-1 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Chris Davis, David Murphy.

Tuesday, Jan. 13 -- Autograph Session, 2801 Beene Blvd., Bossier City, Louisiana, 4-5 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Ron Washington, Thomas Diamond, Jackie Moore, Josh Lewin.

Tuesday, Jan. 13 -- Town Hall/Autograph Session, 2428 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, 6:30-8 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Jon Daniels, Scott Feldman, Taylor Teagarden, Jim Sundberg, Eric Nadel.

Wednesday, Jan. 14 -- Autograph Session, 3201 Lawrence Road, Wichita Falls, 5-6 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Thomas Diamond, German Duran, Travis Metcalf, Josh Lewin.

Tuesday, Jan. 20 -- Autograph Session, 8668 South Broadway Ave.,Tyler, 6-7 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Brandon Boggs, Chris Davis, Tom Grieve.

Thursday, Jan. 22 -- Town Hall/Autograph Session, 1101 West Arbrook Blvd., Arlington, 6:30-8 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Ron Washington, Mike Maddux, Josh Hamilton, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Jim Sundberg, Tom Grieve.

Monday, Jan. 26 -- Autograph Session, 210 New Road, Waco, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Scheduled to appear: Andy Hawkins, David Murphy, Taylor Teagarden, Eric Nadel.

TBA -- Autograph Session, 5400 Brodie Lane, Sunset Valley (Austin area).

The Rangers have also scheduled two autographs sessions at Brookshire's locations: Tuesday, January 20, 4:30-5:30 p.m., 100 Rice Road, Tyler (Brandon Boggs, Chris Davis, Tom Grieve) and Tuesday, January 20, 6:30-7:30 p.m., 6708 Lake Worth Boulevard, Lake Worth (participants TBA).

In addition, the Rangers Round Up Caravan will make stops at the team's minor league affiliates in Oklahoma (AAA) and Frisco. The Oklahoma stop will include a Rangers/RedHawks Clinic on Saturday, January 17 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. More information is available by calling the RedHawks at 405-218-1000. The Rangers will also be visiting military installations at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana; Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma; and Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, and will make appearances at a number of elementary and high schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The 2009 Rangers Round Up Winter Caravan is also sponsored in part by Southwest Airlines, Fox Sports Southwest, My27, KRLD-AM 1080, 105.3 The Fan, and CBS Radio.
