I'd rather go see Tito Ortiz (with hopes that his girlfriend is with him). Bench was in Memphis last year and told me and Bridger to "F*#@ Off!" as we were walking towards him and hadn't even asked for an autograph yet. To think he used to be my favorite player and while I haven't added to the Bench collection since then, I still haven't parted with it.

My two experiences with Bench, who was my favorite player growing up along with Keith Hernandez, caused me to sell the ball that I had signed. He is a miserable human being. When I told him that he was my favorite player, he told me "You're just saying that because you want my autograph" along with some nice expletives as well.

No doubt Bench is a butthead. At least in this situation he pretty much has to sign. Hopefully there is a tv crew there filming when I go up. Somehow John is always nicer in that situation.
