Shawne Merrmian is doing a signing at the Huntington Beach Upper Deck store on Saturday August 30th, 2008....anyone planning on going? They are not taking any mail-ins but I have a jersey I REALLY want signed...I'd be glad to pay someone to go or pay for you to get something signed for yourself if you would like...Just let me know.

i'm pretty sure it won't be free. Also at the other UD signings, no outside items were allowed in. Plus, Merriman is hurt, so the signing might be canceled.

I know it won't be free...which is why I offered to pay to have someone get something signed for me and for them.

I called the store today and they said that even though he is injured, the signing is still on and to just call on Friday to double check.

I'm friends with some people at Upper Deck, so I'd have no problem getting in contact with em and dropping off the jersey down there for ya (need to go in there soon anyways to pick something up). Price for a jersey to be signed is apparently $75. Unsure whether or not I'd be able to get a discount on it for you. PM me if you want me to take it down there for ya.

$60 for their 16x20 is a great price I think. Can I order one without going? The commute from Chicago might be a little much...

I would call the store. I called them today and they were very helpful. I thought $75 for a jersey was pretty reasonable too.

We do not have to be present if we want to buy something from the signing correct? Will they ship it out to us. Sorry if the question sounds stupid. I would love to get a 16x20 but live several hundered miles away from San Diego...Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

That is correct...you can buy one of their things already signed for the prices listed on the site.

Basically, in speaking with the person from Upper Deck, they don't do mail order. They said that I can purchase the picture and have him sign it but I'd have to pick it up to the store. Not sure what good that is..

Is anyone from the board going to this? I would make it worthwhile for a 16x20 signed. PM me if you may be available.
