ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers today announced the "2008 Texas Rangers Round Up" Caravan schedule, which begins Jan. 10 and features five major stops throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
The Texas Rangers Round Up is presented by Academy Sports and Outdoors, Southwest Airlines, FSN Southwest, My27, KRLD 1080 AM and CBS Radio, and kicks off Thursday, January 10 at Frankie's Sports Bar and Grill in Dallas. The kickoff is the first of three Rangers Happy Hours that will take place at a different location each Thursday in January, the newest addition to the caravan schedule. This year's events also feature current players, broadcasters and front office personnel in numerous visits to schools, military bases, corporations, service clubs and restaurants throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Academy Sports and Outdoors will sponsor four Town Hall Meetings, featuring talkbacks with General Manager Jon Daniels, Assistant General Manager Thad Levine, Executive Vice President of Communications Jim Sundberg, Manager Ron Washington and current players and coaches.
