What: 2011 University of Hartford baseball Fundraising Dinner with keynote speaker Bobby Valentine and featuring former Major League players as table guests

All proceeds from the event will benefit University of Hartford baseball and Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.
Approximately 15 former Major League Baseball players will be in attendance. Last year, former Red Sox pitcher Bill Lee headlined the MLB alumni in attendance. The event will also feature silent and live auctions -- which included more than 40 autographed baseballs and pictures in 2010, many from Hall of Famers.
The Hot Stove Dinner will begin with a cocktail and social hour from 6-7 p.m. That will be followed by a sit-down dinner, a silent auction and a question-and-answer session with the Major Leaguers in attendance. The evening will provide fans a chance to mingle, talk baseball and ask questions with their favorite former big leaguers, as well as this year's Hawks team.
Tickets for the event are available for $100 a seat. Table sponsorships are also available for $1,000. Sponsorship includes nine event tickets, program recognition, a Major League player as a guest at the table, 10 autographed baseballs and recognition on HartfordHawks.com.
