2007 Braves Fanfest

are the broadcasters/announcers usually there? mark lemke, ron gant, etc.

Im pretty sure last year that Skip Caray signed and I know Joe Simpson did but they just sat those guy in with some other people unannounced....it's really just impossible to know who will be there....they try really hard to make sure all the people they announce will be there....if they're even going to announce anyone this year. No guarantees on anyone though.

i have a couple questions for those who have been to this:

how many per are the players?

what braves alumni were there last there and who do you think will be there this year?

thanks for the help

they scream ONE PER PERSON but it really varies how many you get. I suggest throwing a page/book up there and if there is a certain one you want you can ask "could you please be sure to get this one" that seems to work well and not eliminate your chances of multiples. If someone bothers you about your book then act like you're going to try to take the cards out but you're afraid you'll damage a card or something...also dont "flash" more than one card before you get to the player or someone will give you a hard time before. But if it's already down in front of them then what can the staff person do? there's a lot of acting that goes into this haha.

The Alumni last year was Gilbreath and Beauchamp....neither of who I knew of or had cards for...they just randomly bring people in and I know a lot of former Braves will be in town for the $60 dinner thing after.

are there minor leaguers there or is it just the major league guys?

thanks

Looks like they posted a little more info on the webiste. Note that price is now 20.00 for the autograph session, maybe that will cut the lines down some.

Gate admission is free, but fans participating in the autograph sessions are required to donate a minimum of $20, with proceeds benefiting the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

where did you find this?

thanks

Atlanta Braves site and I called their Fan Hotline. Yesterday it had Andruw Jones and Bobby Cox on it and today they are not on there. Can't really be that many no shows considering half the players live in Atlanta and surrounding areas.
