FYI - I present state's evidence - we will label it 4-B.

Tonight - Lakewood at Hagerstown. 6:20 pm....game starts at 7. Burgess saunters out...there are 3 of us there.....3! There are maybe 25 people in the stadium....not counting the staff. 3 AUTOGRAPH SEEKERS. (of course the SAL TP just came out, so we all have one more Burgess to worry about)

First guy hands him 1...he signs it while grumbling something.

Next guy hands him 3....a little small talk follows...he signs 2.

I hand him 8, just to piss him off....he signs 2.

Listen, YOU DONT USE THOSE BALLS FOR THE SIGNING and IF YOU DO, YOU MARK THOSE DOWN AS FLAWED AND DESCRIBE THEM AS SUCH. Given the price you were charged and therefore passed along to our members, the ball better damn well be a perfect 10.

I just bouht 20 dozen Rawlings. I believe 6 of them had marks, 2 of which could not be erased. None of them were signed by any player until the marks are removed. You never EVER never send a marked up ball to a customer and tell them "thats how they are".

Agreed. Without saying anything to get myself in trouble, I second this. You cant charge people and send them marked up balls. If you were going to do that, thats fine but make sure they discounted and its noted.

Burgess and his agent must have taken this cardenas fool to the cleaners. Those prices he was given he should have passed but instead he took it in the shorts!!!!!!!!!!!
