What: Bowling tournament featuring local and national celebrities to benefit charity.

Why: This event will raise funds to further support The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association and The Ortiz Family Foundation’s programs and charities initiatives.

When: Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007

2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Bowling Tournament

• Each lane will consist of 4 paid participants and a celebrity friend of Russ Ortiz.

Any idea what celebrities will be there?
 
Former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher and current San Francisco Giants pitcher Russ Ortiz will host the Third Annual Celebrity Rock-N-Bowl Bash Saturday, Dec. 8 at north Scottsdale’s Brunswick Via Linda Lanes, 9027 E. Via Linda.

Sports fans will be able to bowl with Major League Baseball players, Suns, Coyotes and Cardinals players. The event is from Noon to 6 p.m. and will also include an autograph signing, lunch from Outback Steakhouse and event gift bag. Tickets are $200 and proceeds will benefit the Ortiz Family Foundation to help further their work in supporting local and national foundations and charities.
