josh hamilton book signing

There is a signing 5 minutes from my house.

I have no clue about how it will be run. So it is up to you guys to find out how much it will cost for a book and if I'm allowed to get extra books.

the last 3 signings I went to were at a tower books and 2 at a barnes and noble. They were very strict about getting other things signed. you had to buy the book there at their store (no copies from home) and that entitled you to get ONE signature on THAT book - i think it really depends on who is signing and if it's through an agent or directly with the author (Athlete)

Bring something else to get signed just in case, but don't get your hopes up -

on a related note, if anyone goes and has any idea how much it will cost for the Josh Hamilton book and some travel/time expenses, let me know and I would be interested in buying one, if the price is right

I have had mixed success with getting outside items done at book signings.

Cal Ripken Jr. would only sign books, any book he had penned even if it wasn't the most recent one that he was there promoting.

Gary Sheffield would sign any and everything as long as you bought one book. At first I heard he was signing memorabilia for people even without a book purchase but the store quickly put a stop to that and made you purchase the book on the way in.

I think the individual bookstores have a lot to do with how and what you can have signed other then the author's actual book.

Needless to say knowing how Josh was in signing for my son and I when the Rangers came into Anaheim, I will be bringing several items for him to sign besides the book. I did check the Border's website for that particular store and under the event listing for Josh Hamilton it said nothing about "No outside memorabilia".

nyc book signings i have been to are pretty strict about the books only.
you can call the store and ask what the limit of books are.the lowest amout
i have seen was 3 per. and that was billy crystal. hamilton shouldnt have the limit
as mostly the dealers will be there and a hand full of collectors.

I've seen them mixed. Jerry Rice, Pete Rose and Alonzo Mourning wouldn't do anything else, but Tiki and Ronde Barber did (as did Johnny Damon from what I was told). Guess it ultimately depends on the athlete.

Can anyone get me some josh hamilton books in ny today or at any of the other book signings hes doing? Im willing to pay you for your time?? Let me know asap - something came up i was trying to get to ny today
