Just wondering if anyone would be attending this signing and able to help me get a 2008 All Star ball signed since BC does not do mail order.

If you think you can attend then please PM and we can work out some sort of compensation for your time and effort.

Thanks

They absolutely, 100%, do not accept mail ins, I have been trying to get them to let me send in my items for years and years and the answer is always no, thus the reason I need some local help to get this done.

My theory behind why they don't accept mail ins is this...They have the athlete there at their store for a limited amount of time, maybe 2 hours or so at best. During this time of course they would still like to sell a lot of tickets to walk in customers, but also a lot of product to get signed as well. If you have ever purchased tickets for their signings (I have a few times as they used to have two Southern California stores) they are always, I mean always trying to upsell their unsigned product, holograms & COAs. Therefore I don't think they really want or care to have people send in their baseballs, cards, etc because the only money they make from those customers is the price of the ticket where as if they get their own jerseys, bats, balls and photos signed they can jack up the price to semi-ridiculous levels and sell them in their retail stores, their website and on eBay.

So profit wise it just makes more sense to them to have their guests signing for walk in customers and their own stock then it does people's mail in items...at least that's my theory. Could also be that handling mail order is a logistical nightmare, but I am sticking to my first hunch.

Either way, I still would really appreciate some help with this and preferrably if you were already planning on going for your self.
