Oakland A's FanFest

I don't know if it's an A's thing or not but it seems like people are going nuts for this event. If you go to their website they presold tickets to this event and all times are SOLD OUT. They say on the site that some tickets will be available on the day of the event starting at 8:30am. I called and spoke to someone at the A's who said they sold out over in the internet in 30 minutes and that people will likely line up early for the few remaining tickets on the day of the event.

I was trying to get a feel as to whether I even have a chance to get tickets on the day of the event. I would hate to wake up early and get out there by 8am or so and still get screwed. Has anyone had any luck buying autograph tickets the day of the event?

I got online and instead of $10 per session it was $15 because of the convenience fee. So to get all 4 sessions and each session had an A table and a B table it would have cost $120 for 16 autographs. Plus it would have been me and my 3 boys at $10 per person ($40). I assume they will charge for parking. I decided the 2 hour trip from Roseville and the cost was too much. And by the way the people that bought online have no idea who each ticket is for. It said that it will be decided the morning of the fanfest. I assume the lines for autograph tickets will start really early. If they start selling at 8:30 I could easily see people out there 2 hours early. If you get shut out for tickets be patient and try to figure out how to get free ones. After radio broadcasts or a question and answer sessions some of the players will sign for a few minutes. Find out where they come in and out to go to ther sessions and they may sign at that entrance. When the A's fanfest was at Jack London square that how I would get most of them. Good luck to whoever is going and I would love to hear how it goes.
