FINAL LIST FOR THE CONVENTION
CHICAGO -- Chicago White Sox players Mark Buehrle, Jermaine Dye, Bobby Jenks, Paul Konerko, A.J. Pierzynski and Javier Vazquez, along with manager Ozzie Guillen and general manager Ken Williams, are scheduled to attend SoxFest 2008. A number of newcomers to the team also are scheduled to appear at the event, including Scott Linebrink, Carlos Quentin and Nick Swisher.
SoxFest will be held Jan. 25-27 at the Palmer House Hilton, located at 17 East Monroe Street. Dates and times are: Friday, Jan. 25, 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 26, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 27, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Other current players and coaches scheduled to attend are Harold Baines, Jeff Cox, John Danks, Josh Fields, Gavin Floyd, Juan Nieves, Jerry Owens, Mark Salas and Greg Walker. Announcers Darrin Jackson, Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, Chris Singleton and Ed Farmer also will be in attendance.
Legendary White Sox executives and players also will attend SoxFest, including: Roland Hemond, Kevin Hickey, Joel Horlen, Bart Johnson, Ron Kittle, Bill Melton, Minnie Minoso, Moose Skowron and Mike Squires.
