I have been to a few different fan fests set up both ways, the Marlins for example don't tell you who is in which line until the signing starts, the Rays on the other hand give out the schedule when you first get there. I believe what the teams are trying to avoid is people lining up at the autograph line hours and hours early for a particular player and clogging up the area. The teams that keep it unknown feel like it gives everyone a fair shake. Personally I agree with you, if someone wants too wait 4 hours early to get George Brett then so be it, but since when do teams care what is best for the fans???I don't really understand why staff wouldn't want to tell people. If you are just going for two or three guys how are you supposed to know what time to show up?
Yeah I almost had a stroke when I saw it last night but it was obviously a website error... They also added Jeff Francis so that is nice.I"m not sure if it's a mistake or not, but Hosmer, Moustakas, and Brett are no longer showing under the players and staff scheduled to appear. There are others from the "updated" list in this thread which have also disappeared.
Nevermind. It appears they may have been messing with the website because now I see the whole list.
