Buzz aldrin

Neil Armstrong is basicaly a recluse now a days, he's even stated how hes done signing autographs for people. Of course hes the most in demand astronaut so if you want him be prepared to pay some big dollars, or hope he does another book tour but with his age I wouldnt count on it. Aldrin was very cool when I got him at a book signing but he will not touch anything other than his book. He is doing a show at Kennedy Space Center in November for $400 base fee.

400 this year? My dad went last year and it was 300 for anything. Of course then he did a book tour and signed 30 dollar books for NOTHING but the cost of the book haha.

Right. Some of Salinger's stuff went for almost $50,000. Neil averages about $7000 an item now.

lol where do you get your figures? Armstrong sells for $750-1500 inscribed, and $3500-4500 uninscribed.

I'd take 10 uninscribed 8x10 NASA photos for $1500 each right now. Those just simply dont exist. Half of the Armstrong stuff on eBay has been fake for the last decade, so if that is your point of reference, it's inaccurate. The $7000 an item comment actually isnt too far off the mark. You can get signed authentically signed programs, cut signatures and other random items in the $700-1200 range on average these days.

I meant it the other way around. $1500 for inscribed and $4500 for uninscribed are the price points right now, and my reference is auction houses not named eBay.

I got the figure from some articles I've read over the last few months. And actually, Thomas Pynchon is the most valuable autograph of a living person nowadays, but so few examples exist.

What does all this neil armstrong talk have to do with my buzz aldrin thread? Kindly continue this conversation elsewhere.
