Hi there. I am heading to the DR tomorrow for a week vacation and wondering if any former players live in or by Puerto Plata? I'm staying there and just curious. Good work and its fun to read.

Any luck with Julio Ramirez and Rodrigo Rosario? I see you got Castillo for me. Berroa coming up?

Keep posting, its very entertaining.

Must be closing in on the '01 SP set as well. It's funny out of all these guys, some guy with just a handfull of big league AB's is the one I'm most interested in.

Pascual agreed to see us and sign the other 50 cards. I have to say that even with as bad as he has been feeling he definitely puts a lot of effort into everything he does including signing. Just like every 5th day when he was pitching today was "Pascual Perez Day." Pascual took his time signing every card and had a story about each picture and city. I asked him about getting lost on the way to the stadium in Atlanta for his first start. He laughed for about a minute and proceeded to tell me the story. The Pirates traded him to Atlanta and he first went to Richmond before getting called back up. He got instructions from the Braves on which hotel to go to and was told there would be a rental car waiting for him. They didn't give him a guide or even any directions to the stadium. He wasn't pitching his first day in the majors so he followed Raffy Ramirez to the stadium that day so it was no problem. The second day he was pitching and thought he could find his way there but he got lost and missed the start of the game. He's a good guy and I'm glad I got to spend some time with him.

Pascual tried to call Melido for me but Melido wasn't answering his phone. He called Carlos and found out Carlos was playing dominoes in Nigua. He asked Carlos to stay there so we could meet him but by the time we got there Carlos had just left.

We made a quick stop at Jose Sosa's house on the way back to the hotel to get a photo signed that I had forgotten the other day. Sosa is a really nice guy as well.

We also went to Sergio Valdez's house today and got him to sign everything. He sells real estate so maybe in a year or so I'll get him to help me find some land or an apartment.

Awesome update on Julio Ramirez. Believe it or not getting that '01 SP was the one I needed most. Thanks for the updates. Find these fascinating.
