Dominican Republic signings

Just curious - how do the signings work? Do you get stuff for yourself or do you do this for strictly other collectors?

The only thing about a 50/50 is that most of the Dominican guys charge me per card so the more cards I have, the more it'll cost me.

My main reason for contacting each signer is to get my own stuff signed and I figure if I'm going to see these guys to get my cards signed it won't hurt to take stuff for other people. Most guys don't mind signing for me because I pay them well, pay per item and usually have a lot of stuff.

For my "confirmed" guys, I've talked with all of them personally and each has told me they'll sign for me when I'm in DR and we've worked out a price which is usually a per item fee.

For the "possible" guys, either my contact in DR or one of the confirmed guys has talked to them about signing or has a good notion that they will be there when I'm there.

I wanted to ask that as well. I could really use Rafael Ramirez on his 1990 Upper Deck but of course I can't find an unsigned one to send.

I'll have a bunch but I can't guarantee I'll have everything and I usually sell them for the same price. I do have extras of the 1990 UD Rafael Ramirez card.

Above is a list of guys I will attempt to get but am not 100% sure about. You can send me cards for them (no money upfront) with the understanding that if I can get them, we'll settle up afterwards. The prices will be in the same range as my confirmed signings ($10-$15) depending on what the guy charges me to sign and the cost associated with getting to him (taxis, rentals, taking the guy to lunch, shady go-betweens, etc.)

I think some of those guys are stateside during the season. Pretty sure Quilvio is a roving instructor for the Royals.

I talked to Veras in March about signing and he said from time to time he has to travel to the US. If he's in DR I'll get him.
