Is Drew Henson a possibility Alan?

I doubt Henson would only want $5 per. He is not hurting for $$ after the Cowgirls paid him all that $$ to play in WLAF. Plus factor in the Michigan thing. I would expect $20 if he would do it.

I'd send in 2 or 3 cards for this.

I would imagine Henson would probably be in the $20-25 range with more for the 99 UD SP Card. He is a Michigan boy and has appeal outside this board and he knows that. He did a show last year and demanded top money just for his NCAA career.

You need him, you pay. You need him but dont want to pay, you dont get him. Life gives you choices, what you decide is entirely up to you.

He was still in college when UD printed the card without permission. I think it got him in trouble. He basically has signed it for 7 people, at least thats what he #'d my card 1/6 and then I know he did 1 more after that.

I am sure if we pay enough, he will sign anything.

I got the card signed while he was a tampa yankee..... I gave him 10 cards and he signed my 1, he then proceeded to rip up the 10 cards in front of me, great guy, and that moment was freaking hilarious. So I have one of the 8 out there. Oh the good old days when I collected.

Ha, if Henson tore my cards up I would have punched him in the face. I am not a fighter - although at 6-4, 225, I could at least make Henson sweat a little while he kicked my ass - but that is just wrong.

He blew me off in Harrisburg when he was a "prospect" - and would not sign that card - but he did sign footballs, mini helmets and tons of other stuff that ended up on ebay - anyway, he tried to tell me it would be an NCAA violation if he signed that card - I explained to him that I was in fact a former D-1 baseball player and that was a load of crap. He insisted/lied to me - and I politely told him to his face, "I HOPE YOU BREAK YOUR F---- LEG"....which he promptly did that fall.

Karma is a b- and he should be paying us to sign that card now.

I just think the promoter should be trying for a better price. Seems like we are just taking it in the backside and saying 'thank you sir may I have another'. I hate Michigan but am still interested in this signing if common sense is used. And it is not about that UD card for me. The thought of paying $25 or more for a 2003 topps total for example is absurd. It is a private signing! Now if I got to meet him, take a pic with him, the $25 is easier to swallow. I trust the promoter would pass on the offer if he feels it is not in the best interests of the members.

There are many people on here that would pay money to knock Henson out of their Want Lists. When you approach players or agents, you negotiate a price. Henson has value because of what he did outside of baseball. I would love to get everyone to agree to do our signings for $5 per but thats not realistic. Henson did a show back during Vikings camp and I believe they sold out at $50-70 per depending on what you wanted signed. Just letting you know what the market bears for Drew, dont get down on me for it. I didnt start this thread, just replying to it with real, honest answers.

I hope to hear back from him this week.

Yep. Mine says "1 of 5 signed" on the back

Seriously, it isn't like he turned out to be Tom Brady or anything and at best, he is a curiosity at this point. Don't believe the hype, especially for a guy that ended doing squat compared to comparable players in the pros [in two sports].
