The Cougars are proud to announce that former Major Leaguer Bill Madlock will headline this year's Winter Banquet and Silent Auction for Charity, presented by Provena Mercy Medical Center. The event will take place on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Gaslite Manor in Aurora, Illinois.
The event includes cocktails, dinner, a silent auction to benefit Ozzie’s Outreach, and a speakers program featuring Madlock.
A three time Major League All-Star, Madlock was a four-time batting champion who had a lifetime batting average of .305 during his 15-year career. In 1979, Madlock was part of the world champion Pittsburgh Pirates squad.
Starting with cocktails at 5:30pm, guests will have an opportunity to mingle with the event speakers and bid on sports memorabilia and other merchandise in the silent auction to benefit Ozzie’s Outreach, the 501(c)3 charity of the Kane County Cougars.
Dinner will be served at 7pm in a banquet format and will be immediately followed by the speakers program. Cougars Manager Aaron Nieckula will join Madlock at the podium to review the Cougars 2007 season and preview the 2008 team.
Tickets are $55 for the General Public and include dinner and the speakers program as well as complimentary draft beer from Euclid Beverage and complimentary Pepsi products. Cougars Ticket Package Holders and Group Leaders receive a $10 discount while Full Season Ticket Holders and Sponsors receive a $15 discount on the price of tickets.
Order tickets now, as seating for this popular event is limited. Online orders will receive a receipt and confirmation in the mail, but tickets will be picked up at the door for all guests on the night of the banquet.
