That's the obvious reason, Yaz could use the money way more than Miggy so it takes more to intice a guy like Miggy to do a signing. Still, it's hard to find the price to be "worth it" when you compare the players. In terms of value to the collector, the autograph won't be worth more because Player A made more salary than Player B. It just costs more at shows. Does anyone really think a Ted Lilly 8x10 is "worth" the same or more than one signed by Al Kaline?

again, it all goes back to supply and demand......had Yaz not done 50 signings over the years, he could command much more, the way Bill Russell and others have

You could ask Ted Lilly's family? Some autographs are "worth" more to just because the experience of having met them. A Buck O'Neil ball is worth more than a Dave Winfield ball.

As far as values are concerned. They have dropped the price of Triple Crown ss's. we're $275 then $350. Now $275 again

Yep. Like $350 for a private singing, now $275 for the public signing about 2 months later. There's quite a few unhappy folks that purchased during the first go round.

I also think these prices are crazy, but that's because I've graphed Miggy many times and gotten a lot for free. Why is it outrageous to think someone would pay this for him though? Pujols is way more than this, and Miggy is better than him now. Atleast at this signing you know you're going to get a beautiful signature, where you could pay $50 more and possibly get a crappy signature from Pujols.
