Great thread, and I enjoy reading. I thought I saw someone ask when the Phestival tickets went on sale? I didn't see a response, so I asked a friend at the Phils, and he said they will be going on sale May 9. Very reliable source. Save your $$$.

Did your "very reliable source" happen to confirm that exchange tickets are DEFINITELY a thing of the past? Heard a rumor that they may do it for one more year.

I didn't ask him. I'm not sure if the ALS makes that decision or the Phillies.

I hope they keep the exhcange tickets. It makes it even more worth it to go. Could you imagine getting two tickets and ending up with Contreras/Baez for one ticket and say Gload/Orr for the other? While someone else would get Howard/Victorino? haha that would suck.....

I have heard from a number of sources - here and elsewhere - that the exchange tickets are definitely a thing of the past.

hopefully the onsale is a lil smoother this year

As a result of the exchange tickets being eliminated the questions now are how many autograph tickets will you get for $25 AND will the price remain $25? The answers to these questions will determine how ticket sales go. I can't see the dealers purchasing a large quantity of packages only to find out they got a bunch of Contreras/Baez or Gload/Orr tickets. So I think the actual attendance may go up but you won't have the same person going through the lines for the stars multiple times.

Just curious - what is the reason for the change? Complaints by fans who camped out in one line and it turned out to be for players they didn't want? Personally, I've always liked the exchange ticket idea. It was always a little frustrating, but it added some extra fun to the day.
