Open tryouts = dudes that were all-county softball back in 99.

They sit in the stands and think they can do better than the professional player that is hitting .219. Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.

In my former life I have witnessed dozens of these tryouts.

I always love it when they make everyone take ground balls from deep short...and then the dudes throw a 15 hopper to first. Niiiiiiccce arm strength.

Well, at least you can go get some easy Butch Hobsons. If anyone is going...I have a ton and would be happy to provide cards for a 50-50.

Considering some of the guys Newark has signed, I expect them to add a few more from their tryout. I don't expect the Bears to be very good this year.
