North Carolina has a very large fan base and a quite wealthy one, too. If you wanted to get the rights to two season tickets for the next 15 years (I think) it would require a one time donation of $172,000 and then you would be allowed to purchase 2 tickets. And I have known people who have done this. This is a school that puts out lots of doctors, lawyers, and Wall Street people. I don't think this Legends guy is just promoting his product when he says they'll sell out. They likely will.

If you haven't lived in NC, you can't quite understand the pure ACC (particularly UNC) fanaticism there. I'm not sure if it's the same now, but when I was living in RDU, kids literally had the day off from school the Thursday and Friday of the ACC basketball tournament.
There are tons of people there (and not necessarily rich) who live and die by Carolina bball. $600 for the ACC's leading scorer along with Lawson and Ellington really is not that much for a die hard fan.
Also, Hansbrough is just about the biggest jerk I have ever met in person. I know a lot of people are saying he'll lighten up when he sits on the bench in the NBA, but I'm not so sure. He's a rich kid who will alwasy have a lot of demand (he's on at least 4-5 SIs) and is the most decorated player in ACC history (including guys like Jordan, Laettner, etc). Not to mention, I think he's just not innately a nice kid. Some people are born jerks and I think Tyler is one of them. $50 for him, is not bad.

Kid : "Mr. Hansborough can you sign my basketball please (which was already signed by the entire UNC team)
Hansbrough : "What's my first name? (very sarcastically)

I live in Atlanta, so I am aware of the ACC basketball and the following UNC has, I guess what I was trying to say is that you can get a single signed jersey by doing the VIP ticket. Someone else had said it had to be multi signed jersey. And you would be crazy to spend that kind of money on that dude when you could get a bunch of HOFs for that amount of money.
