This event is being run by Lisa and Eric Poppel (they brought Trillo and Lerch into my last show). My brother and sister will take great care of you. I will be there as well to help with the crowd control.

I just wanted to keep everyone posted. I spoke to Dykstra today. He is excited and ready to go. He flys tomorrow morning. He was kind enough to do the Howard Eskin radio show today for us. Sounds in great spirits. Love the Philadelphia and NY fans passion. Thinks modern era players strike out too much. mp-events.net

i love my Phillies and all, but they were not WS Champs in 1993. Maybe you mean 1986... he was 1993 NL Champion though...

Amazing. All the stories you heard about Dykstra appear to be valid. He skips his flight this morning and then we get a call at 3:00 PM Eastern Time that he missed the 9:26 AM flight (12:26 Eastern). He has picked out another flight. Suddenly 1st class flight, half the money wired to him in advance (that's a great move with his track record) and then he'll come but the fee might be a little more as well. Needless to say Dykstra will not be appearing at the signing at The Granite Run Mall tomorrow. I am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around this one. They called us (his rep Daniel Herman) begging us for an appearance. We complyed and jumped through 10 hoops, dropped some serious money on this drain of a venture. I don't hold Daniel Herman at fault but he is his handler so he should be mentioned. Promoters beware. A contract is not a contract with Lenny. In addition he did 2 radio shows to pump the event which obviously shows he knew about it and was set to attend. Still amazed why he would waste everyones time, my money and cause lots of people to make a fruitless trip to PA> Those NY naysayers were right. He is not reliable (as evidenced) and you should be cautious in terms of ever expecting him to actually show up. We actually offered him a 4 show deal. 4 shows. Everything he wanted. I wish him luck but had a horrible taste in my mouth. This was the deal they wanted not me. They came to me. They asked the fee and terms. Very very sad day when people have 0 regard for anyone else. I do apologize. Please spread the word so the number of people is minimalized.
