2012 Caravan Schedules

I find with the little success the Reds have totally stop carrying about putting a good product out at these fan related events.

Reds have always done well with these fan type events. Redsfest is second to none. I do think the caravan is a little weaker than usual, but you still get an All-Star 2nd baseman, Reds #1 prospect, and Reds minor league player of the year.

Anybody going to the Reds Northern Leg of their caravan that would be able to get me a Tom Browning sig? If so, please DM me or email me at aansara@gmail.com. Thanks guys.

RedsFest is a huge event and if you plan as well as have a little luck and some help, you can really rack up. Of course the 2011 event was the first time that you had to pay for certain autographs. For instances, Votto was only in the kids' line and in the paid area. Scott Rolen was just in the paid area as was Johnny Cueto.

This year's Caravan is definitely weak especially the Northern tour. Mesoraco is the only one worth going. The people in the north have to be very disappointed. Of course the southern leg, you have Brandon Phillips which is worth the trip alone.

2012 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan Ready to Roll
Tigers Players and Coaches to Visit Fans Across the State
The 2012 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan, presented by Verizon Wireless and FOX Sports Detroit, is set for Thursday, January 19 and Friday, January 20, and features an exciting lineup of appearances in Detroit and around the state of Michigan. Tigers President, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager David Dombrowski, Vice President/Assistant General Manager Al Avila, Manager Jim Leyland, coaches, players, broadcasters and Detroit’s favorite mascot PAWS, will take part in a two-day journey traveling in two buses and an additional dozen vehicles, across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages.

"Coming off the AL Central Division Championship, and the exciting season it was, we're thrilled to get baseball at the top of our minds again with the Winter Caravan," said Elaine Lewis, Vice President of Community and Public Affairs. "We've identified new locations and there are more public stops. What is most impressive is how nearly the entire 40-man roster of players and our coaching staff are set to return to Detroit in the middle of winter, embrace the caravan, and engage the fans."

Media are encouraged to attend each stop on the caravan as there will be numerous photo and b-roll opportunities. Additionally, select stops will have specific media availabilities, which will allow for interviews with Tigers personnel.
