CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Tar Heel All-America and 2009 First Round Selection Alex White will be in attendance at the Carolina Baseball First Pitch Dinner Feb. 5 set to be held at the Carolina Club on the UNC campus. White was named the Cleveland Indians' Minor League Pitcher of the Year for 2010 and will be on hand to sign autographs.

White will also be bringing a signed Cleveland Indians jersey for auction. Other auction items are listed below:
* - ROY WILLIAMS SIGNED BASKETBALL
* - BUTCH DAVIS SIGNED FOOTBALL
* - 2011 TEAM SIGNED HELMET
* - DUSTIN ACKLEY SIGNED ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE BAT - All-America and National Player of the Year Dustin Ackley signed this bat from his 2010 Arizona Fall League MVP Season.
* - Dustin Ackley AND TYLER HANSBROUGH SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH - This item is literally the only one in existence signed by both Ackley and Hansbrough. The two National Players of the Year gathered in front of the old well for this unique shot. The 16x20 print will be gramed and matted for the winning bidder.
* - GLOVE SIGNED BY Alex White, Matt Harvey, Andrew Miller AND Daniel Bard - This UNC customized glove was signed by all four of UNC's first round pitchers since 2006.
* - CAROLINA BASEBALL EXPERIENCE -Your son will be granted the opportunity to eat a pregame meal, hang out with the team in the locker room, observe batting practice on the field, listen to Coach Fox's pregame speech, and serve as a bat boy during the weekend game of your choice. This is a once in a lifetime experience for any avid Diamond Heel youngster. The winning person must be at least 10 years old.






Tickets for the third-annual event are available by contacting Kim Jones with the Rams Club at (919) 843-6433 or via email at kimajones@unc.edu. Individual tickets are $75 and tables of eight seated with a UNC player are available for $600. Carolina baseball alumni and children 12 and under may purchase tickets for $55.

Scott Bankhead, the 16th-overall pick in the 1984 Major League Baseball draft, 10-year MLB veteran and two-time All-America at North Carolina, is the featured speaker for the event. Attendees also will have the chance to meet the 2011 Tar Heels, and this year's senior class will preview the upcoming season.

The event will open at 6 p.m. with a silent auction and autograph session with the 2011 Tar Heels followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The program and a live auction will follow dinner.

Attire for this year's event is business casual. Parking will be available in the Rams Head Deck for a fee.
