Burgess signing Completed...

I'll be the first one to bring up this thread in 2015 when I send my cards to Gorphils to get him in the Atlantic league! :)

Yeah I know what you mean. All of them are perfect but 2, and those 2 will not be sold....Maybe he they have him doing that and its exclusive so o well its fine. I dont want to fire up some flames over that. I'm happy with what I got and I'm not going to complain

I got an email from LRM like 30 minutes ago saying they just got these (edit) Burgess items in.

Signing Date:
November 29, 2007

thats when they got him with those every letter autos..that was a long time ago so possibly 1. he doesnt do it anymore or 2. they are the only ones that get that. But either way im happy

Like i said before if you have nothing good to say, dont post..That simple thanks....

Kudos on doing your FIRST signing. Advice: Don't let the player control the signing, you are in control. He is an employee of yours when he is signing stuff for $$$. .

True that! Several keys to running a good signing:

Have YOUR people there to help it run smoothly and keep count! The same way a player should ALWAYS have his (agent) there to keep count.

Be Organized! Especially if you are paying the player by the hour, the better your organization, the more piece he can sign per hour (the more $ you make).

Ask Alan for advice (if he'll be so kind as to help you!) I have done signings (Private and Public) for 20+ years (started running around Joe DiMaggio's Dry Cleaning when I was 14!) and I am always picking up helpful hints from others on how to run a better, more profitable signing. I learned a few things from helping out at his Tabata Signing, and I'll venture to say that Alan was glad I was there to help out. (#1 I understand spanish better than he does!!!, lol)...

My # one piece of advice for signings with YOUNG players, is try and book them by TIME, not by the piece. This does not work for OLDER (slow) signers, but is KEY for young guys.
