Burgess signing Completed...

Looks like Michael lied to you Cardenas, LRM just got a bunch of his items in including this...

[Sportsgraphing.com] Burgess signing Completed...

I would rather not have that signature. Looks like sheeyat. I'll take the non-paid version please.

But he still signs IP you're saying....you guys are acting like he doesn't sign anything at all. Honestly, why do you need 3 autos of an A-baller......if it's for 3 diff sets you're working on, it's understandable, but it sounds like you see him multiple times...you should be able to get one each time? He's doing YOU a favor by signing your card....welcome to the hobby of IP autos.

Why did you need 2 Ryan Popes, Paul Zuvellas, Fred McGriff, Ed Vandeberg and so on?

The point again is that he is getting to the point of not signing at all. The other day he made comments about signing too much lately. The Hagerstown team set had just come out and he has TWO cards in it. It becomes a pain to continually ask him and I personally like to be done with someone as soon as I can, so I can get others that I need.

He knows people needs autos for their set because I mentioned that to him yesterday. So im sure if you say can you sign this for my set he will do it without a problem. What he said he doesnt like is when people have a book with 25-100 cards and want them all done

Okay thanks for help, I understand what you mean....What if the players drag the time on purpose though haha?.....But other than that I know exactly what you mean...thanks man

I have bever had a played "drag his feet" and most of the time the player will finish EVERYTHING you have set up, even if it means staying an extra 5 minutes. They will come in and "chit-chat while signing, and just sign what you have set up, so if you are organized you can get much more for your $ if you do dignings by time, rather than by the piece. The only people that Piece pricing is better for is REALLY old/slow playersEX; Guys I know do signings with (Football HOFer), who is like 90+ and basically it takes them 3 days to do a SMALL SIGNING. They drive down to his house and with the help of his daughter they bang out like 50-75 items a day for 3 days, he's gets tired so they jusy have him sign a few, then a few hours later sign a few more... (It's actually kinda sad)

Ok sounds great....Thanks for the help....that signing with the 90+ guy sounds brutal lol

You are a little naive to believe everything you hear, especially from someone you are paying who wants you to be a satisfied 'customer'. Over time, you will hopefully overcome this.

He is obviously full of himself and is a big BSer. The other day he bypassed a bunch of people and signed 1 maybe 2 for about 2-3 people. He complained the whole time saying that he is tired of signing and signed "like 50 things earlier". Maybe the team hit him up for a bunch of autos, who knows.

Again to reiterate the point, his attitude changed once the signing was announced.

Well sorry to hear that, Its not like i told him to do that.....Business is business....if you dont like it then go get a player who i need and do a signing with him and ruin him. I cant do anything about it....It happens to players all over the world. If your going to complain about a player sucking and this and that then why does it even matter? Like i said if I told him to not sign any more and he stopped signing i would take the blame but i didnt so what he does is his problem. the signing is over so whatever he does is what he does. Regardless he wont be impossible he will still sign how hes been....

Besides Cardenas, who would that be? I don't think you really even liked Burgess other than the fact you thought you could make some dough off of him and try to make yourself worthy by saying a donation will be made to charity, which most of us don't believe will happen, so please prove us wrong by showing us a receipt from the charity.

However, I have neither the time nor inclination to do a private signing, plus I want to keep the hobby of graphin as free as possible (of course beyond the usual costs of gas, tickets, cards, etc).

If your going to complain about a player sucking and this and that then why does it even matter?

I personally don't think I said he sucked and even if he did, it matters to me. I try to work on complete signed sets.

In an indirect way, you have told him to stop or minimize how much he signs, as he now associates a value with his signature since you paid him. Some of your responses in your video did not exactly help either. Hell I would not be surprised if you tried to sway him into being represented by your firm.

I don't think your signing has changed his signing habits.[/B][/QUOTE]

Alan-

When are you going to Hagerstown again? When was the last time you were there? I bet the answers are: 1. not any time soon or never, and 2. 2 months ago. So, its impossible for you to make that statement because you dont know. You only know what you read. And veterans like me and Joboo have told you information to the contrary. Try to go as soon as you can, try to get 2 or 3 or 4 Burgess cards signed, and let us know how you did. I realize that if there is groundswell against private signings it will hurt your bottom line, but come on man.....that statement is ridiculous. This is "The Internet's Premier Autographing Community".....maybe I am naive or just an old timer but to me dollars and cents should not come in to play when I got try to get a guy IP. Whats next - are we going to have to buy a pre-paid debit card with the Alan Moore / Cardenas LLC Hologram on it - and each player will have a credit card reader on their belt? I can see it now -

Mr. Smith - can you sign?

Will that be cash or charge?

Do any of the veterans feel like I do? Or am I the lone gunman here?
