Cow Palace Tristar Show May 1-3rd

the prices just came out today. I think I'm gunna breakdown and shell out $699 for Mays on my legit Mitchell & Ness jersey. So, yeah. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go.

Unless you want a specific item signed like greatsacman or are a huge Mays fan and want to meet him, I don't think the price is worth it. I bought a Mays bat at a TriStar show a few years ago for like $150. I guess the experience may be worth it, but you never know what kind of mood he is going to be in.

I'm going to go, but I don't know if I'm going to get any autographs. The only person I'm considering is Randy Johnson.

I will probably cough up some cash and get Randy too, but Dang, why doenst he sign jerseys??? I've seen that in previous autograph deals he will not sign jerseys. I got a sick Diamondbacks jersey I want signed REAL bad. Dang, we are paying customers, we should be able to get whatever we want signed.

I would almost give my Mays jersey to someone else. I'm just getting it because I got the Mays jersey a long long time ago at the Mitchell and Ness shop in Philly, never took the tags off and never got it signed. But dang, $699. Wholly Guacamole thats some scratch. Unfortunately, once he passes away, these will be valuable.

Yeah I saw that with Johnson...something about he'll only sign bats and jerseys that have 5 or more signatures on it already? Weak.

$700.00 for one autograph...For that much money I would

Dennis Eckersley (premium) $59
Bruce Sutter (premium) $69
Tom Seaver (premium) $79
Orlando Cepeda $39

Ron Yary $29 x2
Jackie Slater $39
Jackie Slater (premium) $49
Dave Wilcox $29 x2
Bob Brown $29
Bob Brown (premium) $39
Eddie Murray (premium) $139
Dave Stewart (premium) $49

Total comes out to $706.00

I don't care about any of these listed names aside from Eck, because I got him so many times. Thats what makes this hobby cool. Not everyone's taste is the same.

you posting that list actually makes Willie Mays at $699 seem like a steal to be honest. I would rather have a sweet Mays jersey than a bunch of guys who I can pick up for $20

700 seems like a lot, but my first thoughts were reading that list were the same as you.

Agreed. Part of the $700 is simply meeting the legend also. I mean, you can meet countless players at games nowadays, but someone like Willie Mays, who is only getting older and will be doing less and less shows as time goes.....I'm sure he'll even let you shake his hand if you ask. That's something you could tell your kids/grandkids long after Mays is gone and you have a signed jersey to prove it. Value can only go up.
