DJ Dozier was a two-sport star playing both baseball and football. In baseball, he spent time in the New York Mets system with a brief call-up in 1992. He also spent some time in the minors with the Padres. As for his football career, DJ was a first round draft pick (#14 overall) in 1987. DJ played 4 years for the Minnesota Vikings and one year for the Detroit Lions. DJ was a consensus First Team All-American in 1986 while playing for Penn State. Because of his impressive college career, he is on the cover over a Sports Illustrated from 1985.

DJ is 23% TTM with no returns since 2004 so he isn't the easiest to graph to get.

I remember chasing this chump in AAA. I was one of a handful of people who got him that weekend and it was a mob scene.

He definitely wasn't easy to get in the minors, that's for sure. I actually played a softball playoff game against him a few years ago and he couldn't have been nicer.

Mark, I don't know if he is a preacher but from what I know he is very involved in the church.

Just wanna get some input from other SG people out there. I am looking to get in on this signing and just cant seem to find the right item. If it comes down to it I might just do a mini helmet, but was really thinking I might be starting a Jo Pa memory piece. I have a good 11x14 of the Jo Pa statue with the guys in the background and feel this could be a good piece for guys who came up under him, 50 years worth. What are your opinions? Just not sure that is the piece I want to start or if it is even a good idea or not. Thanks and I plan to send my item in the next few days.

With the vast amount of Penn Staters out there, an 11 of the Joe Pa statue would be pretty cool IMO...you could get a ton of graphs on it, and it would end up looking nicer than just a logo sheet.
