Jim Kavourias (Former Florida Marlin prospect)

Will you be seeing him face to face to get the cards signed - or will it be TTM?

I'm sure more people will come out from under the rocks once the pricing is announced. I have a few I can send depending on what it costs.

He said he would be willing to do it. It would be $1 per card plus postage for me to get the cards back to you. Let me know who is interested. I am going to speak to him on MondayMarch 31st to finalize all the details.

I guess I'll just do 1 of each different that I have...so 6 or 7.

PM me if you'd be interested in any of his 02 T Traded or 02 T Traded Chrome. I have a bunch I'd part with if you could use them for your signing.

Not to hijack your thread - and nothing at all against you Zech or Jim....but I think we are going down a bad path here - paying retired guys to sign (even current fringe or prospect guys). We are just making it that much harder on ourselves TTM and at the park. I can see the "agent" on this board setting this kind of stuff up...but in my opinion we as collectors should not fuel the fire. We roast the "agent" for telling his guys either not to sign or limit us...how is this any different? If retired guy "X" or prospect "Y" knows he can get a buck or more per graph - then why sign for free? It would be great for someone to set up a Private signing and there be no fee - I mean, Jim should be flattered that we still want his autograph. I would be willing to give him some cards - but not money. Just my opinion.

Normally I totally agree with you on this, but he does not do signings, he is no longer in the public eye and does not get asked to do public appearances. Depending on how many cards I get, he could be giving a lot of his time up to do this. I can see if he wants some of his cards.

I kinda see where you're coming from, but it is only a buck...if he was getting $5-10 per auto your point would be more valid. A TTM request is 82 cents minimum, I'm OK personally with spending the extra 18 cents for a sure thing instead of rolling the dice with a TTM request.

Besides, plenty of guys do shows or signings and are still prolific TTM and/or IP signers. I don't think, majority of the time, that getting paid every once in a while ruins a guy's outlook on signing for free. JMHO.
