NEIL WALKER MEET AND GREET THIS TUESDAY!
12/10/2007 12:10 PM
2007 Altoona Curve all-star third baseman and top Pittsburgh Pirates' prospect Neil Walker will meet and greet Curve fans this Tuesday evening at the Curve Stockyard location inside the Logan Valley Mall in Altoona. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. and all fans are invited to attend this free event!

Walker, the Pirates' first round selection (11th overall) in the 2004 June Draft out of Pine-Richland High School in suburban Pittsburgh, spent most of the 2007 season with Altoona before a late-season promotion to Triple-A Indianapolis. In 117 games with the Curve, the 22-year old posted a .288 average with 30 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 66 RBI and 77 runs scored. He was selected to participate in the Eastern League All-Star Game in mid-July in Norwich, Connecticut and was rated by Baseball America as the E.L.'s ninth-best prospect following the season.

Tuesday's event will also serve as an opportunity for Curve full season ticket holders to pick up their 2007 Holiday gifts.

The club's mall location opened on October 15 and will remain open thru the Holiday Season. It is located on the main level of the mall near Jimmy Z and Hollister and across from DEB and Christopher Banks.

In addition to being able to shop for Curve hats, T-shirts, outerwear, winter gear, children's apparel and a vast selection of novelty items, fans can also purchase Curve season tickets, mini-plans, flex books and other ticket packages.

For more information, contact the Curve at (814) 943-5400 or toll-free at (877) 99-CURVE.
