It's an individuals choice whether or not to pay $$$ to get an item signed at a signing like this from a pro baseball player like Tim Lincecum.
I just posted this as an FYI to everyone here on this site.

The autograph prices don't bother me at all as there are a lot of lesser calibur players charging a lot more and if Lincecum continues at the rate he's pitching now (and for a garbage team) then he will be a lock HOFer...of course it's always an "IF".

What's most disturbing and I can already see this becoming a trend is that his jersey number 55 is counted as an incription. Tim has signed for myself and my son multiple times this season in LA and San Diego and has always put 55 now all of a sudden it's ten bucks to add it at a paid signing? I just wonder if this is really the player's call or his agent/the promoter...just doesn't make a lot of sense...in person for free, no problem...paying for my autograph at a sit down signing, nope, another $10 please.

Just my .02.

$10 to add a JERSEY NUMBER?!?! What a rip. No wonder the hobby has been spiraling out of control. Cheap pass like this to make and extra few bucks. What if he decided to change his jersey number next year because he has a bad run of a few games? We all know how superstitious ballplayers are. Then what? You pay $10 for a jersey number he is no longer using.

Kinda silly to me to make a jersey number an inscription. But hey, to each his own. Best of luck in the signing.

I personally know the guys in charge of this store. They pretty much do signings of anyone they can get from the Bay Area teams....and a lot of people buy into these prices actually. Like they had Brian Horwitz of the Giants for $15 recently haha, people aren't aware they can get guys like him ttm, but yea, they are getting people to pay that, so good for them.
