Tim Lincecum Signing

How did this signing turn out for everyone? I was pleased with the jersey I got signed.

I just saw all the prices for Tim's signing and OH MY GOD those a crazy expensive prices. Tim is a great pitcher but DAAAAAMN that is too much. $225 for jerseys? WTF? No way, for certain players I will pay that much but for Lincecum. Dang----- break the bank. And I like the guy too.

I agree 100%. On most nights, I'd rather spend 4 or 5 hours with my girlfriend than 4 or 5 hours at a game chasing players in the parking lot. A lot less hassle for sure!

Plus, I could always work some OT at work to get the money for the autographs I'm paying for

PERFECTLY SAID, the people who post on here that actually know me, I would rather pay $$ a few extra bucks, get the item I want signed and either work more or spend time with my lady. Collecting and getting free signatures is cool and all, but I'm getting old, ha ha

I don't deal with the hassle of big league games and tickets. I always need more than 1 guy so I always come away with something, as well as the knowledge I got it myself, and I have learned to take what I can get. Paying for an autograph is just not on my radar scope.

If you don't deal with the hassle of big league games and tickets, how do you always come away with something?

And if you always need more than 1 guy how do you always come away with something if you won't pay for an autograph and/or you don't deal with big league games?

I agree, as I've gotten older, I realize more and more that my time has real value. I have a great job and a wonderful girlfriend, so I'd rather spend them with her than chase guys around before/after a game. On top of that, she speaks fluent Spanish so she's very helpful during my trips to DR.

As far as paying for Lincecum at the previous signing, I worked 2 hours of overtime which more than made up for what I paid to get his autograph. I think I would have spent more than 2 hours chasing him before I would have actually gotten him.

What is funny is that you can actually pay to have the auto devalued with a personalization "To (first name)"... god forbid that you ask for the person's last name added... This is one of the main reasons that players do not sign as much. Greed and idiots who pay for this...
