2012 Redsfest

As a heads up--I will be doing another private signing with Casey in about a month!! I will post about it in the upcoming signings once the date is confirmed.

Just confirmed the date--January 3. All info will be posted once the thread is approved.

I won one of the lotteries as well...I received a ticket for Votto for Friday evening!

nice. That's why i chose Friday, in hopes of getting Votto. By making these 'vip' signings 4 groups of one player each day they raffled off 1800 total tickets vs only 450. This allowed a lot more people to at least get one guarenteed sig. So far every one I know has won one, so not many more than the 1800 people must have signed up.

Not everyone, dangit.

I have to admit that I am wondering if the crowd is going to be down this year because a bunch of guys that I know on another board won the Votto ticket lottery as well. I know at least three collectors that nabbed a Votto ticket. That is high taking into consideration what you would believe is the general population wanting an autograph. Few people that I know were shut out completely. I signed my wife up for Saturday and she was unsuccessful. Also I noticed on the Saturday Elite passes, there are 25 Elite passes available and there have only been 29 bids and they are at the minimum bid of $200. That is extremely low. Of course on Friday, there are 71 bids with the highest bid at $315 which is the number that I believe I paid last year for a Votto Elite Pass which included Scott Rolen and Aroldis Chapman. Of course Chapman and Latos both were at a public signing in Cincinnati this summer and they were around $50 each if I recall. Of course Phillips is always on the Caravan and you can get him multiple times for free there. Cozart was at an AT&T Retail Store during the summer and many people racked up on him then. I nabbed Frazier on multiple items last summer at an AT&T Retail outlet on the same date that Cozart was signing at another location.

nope... from what I hear pre-sale tickets are in range of last year. The reason people actually won an autograph this year is the increased the # of winners....

Last year:
one staion each day with 3 players at the station...
225 people won each day, only 450 total winners.

This year:
4 stations per day, only 1 player at each
900 winners per day, 1800 total winners.

4x the amount of winners so more happy people...
