One of the main things to remember, true or not, most graphers assume that players who have not done squat (Burgess) should not have attitude like they are Rickey Henderson or someone. Obviously it's not a steadfast rule, because you get guys like Tomo Ohka that you have to work on to get 1 and guys like Ryne Sandberg doing 2-3 per at times. So accomplishments alone don't dictate what type of signer someone will/should be.

BUT....A lot of the frustration comes from people who see Burgess being a low-A guy who is not putting up stellar numbers, and wonder what he has to be so tough about. Truth is, it's just him, his view of signing, and there's nothing we can do about it. That said, it doesn't mean I can't root for the guy to fail, because I think cocky 18 year olds (who aren't all that great at what they're being cocky about) need to be brought back down a rung or two. So, bottom line, is he obligated to sign for anybody? No, of course not. Should he be grateful for the opportunity to play a kids game for a living and appreciate the fact people want his graph? Yes, of course. JMO....

Geez, you act like it is so far. It probably is around 2-3 gallons roundtrip from Frederick. Besides that Hagerstown has 5 guys with mainstream cards (however, no quantity on one of them, obviously), plus the coaches have quite a bit of mainstream. It only then takes 1 player on the other team to have 6 guy combined with mainstream cards, which I would say almost all of the teams in the league have. But that is OK, with the God awful "luxury suites" they have, it is a royal nightmare when too many people are down there anyways, so we don't need anybody else out there, even the great one - Alan Moore!

It actually is far for me to drive. Frederick/Potomac are as about as far as I go. I dont see you traveling to Bowie here lately. Dont knock me for not making the trek out into hillbilly country. LOL!

Plus I got my boy JBSouthFan to hook me up since he goes there alot.

Bowie is a f'in pain the tookus to get to - down 270, to the 495 beltway, to 50 blah, blah, blah, just so I can get big leagued by a bunch of nobodies in AA. I can drive a lot less to get big leagued by tools like Burgess.

Excuse ME. I have been here a hell of a lot longer than you have and have done a lot here. I guess your 3 months here totally make you a head honcho huh?

Actually, you can use my sign on date as El Scorchos sign on date, which puts him within a few months of yours. He shared my account up until a few months ago. Besides that time on the board doesn't mean squat. There are great people who have been here just a short time and then there are worthless people who have been here a long time.

Good job getting the video of the signing. I think it is best if you try to keep the signing as professional as possible, meaning try to keep the little small talk at a minimum when the player is signing and you know you are filming it.

On camera, just make sure he is comfortable and your items are getting signed. Let the guy speak if he wants, but tell him he is being filmed and try not to get into some philosophical discussion on signing autographs and/or how many he does in-person or through the mail.

Off camera, you can talk about what you want to, but realize there will be an audience watching who are making judgements as they watch the videos.

Joking or not, its post like these that infuriate a ton of people. This is the kind of stuff that puts a huge target on your back - and I for one think you should take your "business" to a different website altogether.

I thought this site was all about helping people - either making friends, 50-50's, posting signing habits, transactions, trades, etc. It IS NOT trolling A-Ball players for private signings and then jacking it up for fellow members in hopes that you make a buck. The collateral damage is just substantial.
