Dominican Republic signings

I think 1979 or 1980 there is a four way card. Also, I believe he is in a off brand set.

One of the fastest players in major league history...did he mention anything about being older than his card stats. He had a shorter career than I thought he would have. Coming up they thought he would be the next Matty Alou. Do you have any connections with him signing in the future?

Dilone and I never talked about age or speed. He does real estate and says his life is easy and relaxed now. Two of the fastest were Alberto Lois and Andres Santana both ran 6.1/60. Santana told me a broken foot in the minors slowed him down to 6.2.

If you got any extra 1991 Topps signed of either of the Perez brothers I would be very interested in those. If not, I will wait for your next trip. Great thread!

It was a slow day today. I got former Marlin Jesus Tavarez to sign and made an appointment with Enrique Wilson for tomorrow.

I got everything signed for you except for the one Pedro Guerrero and the one Enrique Wilson.

John

I'll get Wilson for you as I have an appointment with him Wednesday at 4pm.

Wow, this one brings back memories. He was quite reluctant to sign his 1994 Upper Deck Minor League card I needed for my set back in Atlanta in 1996. He was with the Marlins along with Quilvio Veras at the time. That was during the Olympics and they put most of the Marlins at this place near the Underground called the Underground Suites. The lobby emptied onto a public sidewalk so no security. Veras and Tavares were both "no" several times before finally getting them both for that set. Not every Marlin was there though. Charles Johnson was put up elsewhere and to this day I still need him in that set.
