October trip to Dominican Republic

Let me know when you get home, I want to buy a couple of cards from you.
Deleon and Dilone.

Please PM a list of what you need so that way I can do my best to make sure I get them.

Sorry I haven't been updating the last few days but I've been pretty busy trying to have fun. I got Mario Guerrero for everyone at the park. I got to meet his wife for the first time and she was really nice, I think she went to BYU or U of Houston LOL (PM me if you didn't get the joke)

I also got Pascual Perez for everyone. This had to have been the saddest autograph session I've ever had. Pascual was bundled up in a blanket sitting under a tree in front of his apartment building. He was sick again and his hands looked like swollen oranges. He struggled thru about the 25 items folks sent in and I told him to stop. He was having a hard time holding onto the sharpie and barely had the strength to write. Anyway, this will probably be the last autograph session I do with him unless his health changes for the better.

I've mentioned this before and it's one my biggest pet peeve in the autograph business but I absolutely hate it when people send me cards of guys I didn't list w/o telling me first. One gentleman, who will remain nameless, sent me a card of Julio Santana whom I had no intention of looking for. So I'm at the baseball stadium today and I see two guys throwing a bullpen session and I knew they both looked familiar. I knew that they had both played for the Giants but I didn't put their names to their faces. Anyway, as soon as they were done my buddy yelled in Spanish "Hey Julio, come sign for John." I knew right away it was Julio Santana. The next guy came by and my buddy said "Hi Manny" and it ended up being Manny Aybar. So as much as it irked me, I got the guy's Julio Santana card signed. I guess I'm a pushover.

Wow that is very sad man, I really hope he gets better soon.

I spent about 15 minutes talking to Julio Santana today who is super nice. I'm going to try something creative for my signing with him a combo $5 per autograph fee along with 50/50. Julio lost his house to his wife in their divorce along with everything in it which included all of his baseball memoribilia.

I also spent about an hour with Juan Castillo talking about all the parts of career from playing in the minors to playing in Mexico and Taiwan. He has some great stories. He also apologized for missing me yesterday as he was in the hospital with his son who is being treated for malaria. As much as we complain about health care in the US, we got it pretty good compared to a lot of other countries.

Finally, Geronimo Berroa was asking me again if anyone is interested in any of the bats he's looking to sell. If anyone is still interested please let me know and I can email you a picture.
