My son got Ruiz on an SI, my daughter got Rollins ss omlb, their cousin got Utley ss omlb, my bro-in-law got Hamels (side panel). Then the gold. Camped out at Halladay's booth for donations. We all got him, I got 3 - Blue Jays McFarlane, Phils McFarlane, ss omlb, with inscriptions. Roy was awesome. He was happy to inscribe anything you asked. When I asked for " 2 time CY winner", he had to think a bit, then added AL...NL...it was kind of funny. Smiled for some pictures. What a genuinely great guy.
At the grab bag I said to the lady "Drop me a deuce" - she says "Number 2, okay." Halladay signed ball. Great day all around.

I was able to get Halladay twice on a couple things I've been meaning to get done. It somehow felt hotter than 103 - I am burnt to a crisp.

I made out amazing. I go there around 2:45 and within minutes traded my Howard ticket for an extra Utley. This year I was determined to score with the grab bags. I got 10 this year and it paid off. Along with the Cliff Lee and Manual bobble heads, I got a 2 vouchers each for 4 complimentary tickets to the aug 5 game against Arizona, a 1980 Bob Boone jersey, and a voucher for a single Vet Stadium seat.

So stoked on this year. Honestly the best i have ever made out at a Phestival. Next year I'm goin for Halladay, Utley and Rollins.

9 hours in the car, 4 hours in line, 1:45 to graph.. a fun day!
Got 4 grab bags- 2 tshirts, 2 Cliff Lee Bobbleheads, a Schneider signed ball, 1 cole hamels signed hat.
For my tickets, I ended up with Howard, Ruiz, Pierre and Juan Samuel.

Traded Howard for Halladay.

Got:
Halladay 16 x 20 with NL CY ins
Pierre 8 x 10 with 200 hits ins
Ruiz 8 x 10 with 08 WSC ins
Samuel on a mini helmet with 3 x All Star ins


Ended up getting another Ruiz, so went back in a got a Ruiz ball on SS
Traded my Ruiz ball for a Papelbon signed ball.

Drove back to CT in the storm.

Overall, a good time!

$10 donations for all players after numbered tickets are gone. Since they have an away game the next day, the best thing they did was start an hour early. All players stayed until 6 signing I believe.

Did Hamels ever sign for donations? When I asked around 540 they said he wouldn't even though there was no line.
