I'm tremendously excited!!! I just got the okay from the wife to book us a room at the Hilton Americas from June 25th-28th, so I'll be at the Tri-Star show that weekend!! We're also gonna go to the Astros/Tigers game Friday night. It's considered our anniversary trip because our anniversary is the following weekend. I'll have to treat her to a shopping trip while we're down there to justify my "hobby weekend." I can't wait!

I made reservations for the Holiday Inn Express which is about 2 blocks from the Hilton. The Hilton wanted to charge $170 a night, plus $15 a night to self park. Then $10 a day for internet and don't forget food. Adds up to over $200 a night (remember I have a wife and two kids that come with me). Holiday Inn $129 a night, free internet, on site parking but I don't know the charge. So I am saving over $50 a night.

I would rather stay at the Hilton but with Obama as President I've got to save as much money as I can because the government is going to take it all and give it to somebody who doesn't work.

LOL, hit the nail on the head.

It will be good to go to a show again without having to worry about driving, hotels, etc. Can't wait to see the prices, that will determine who I am getting. Won't be Berkman or Pence, already got them. And Mario I can get at training camp. I'm seriously considering Ripken, just wonder how much he'll be.

We're staying 3 nights at the Hilton and the total with tax was $560. I know that's a lot to pay for a hotel stay, but you don't how bad I am at driving in traffic, and I wanted to stay as close to the convention center as possilble. From what I gather, it seems like we can just walk on over to it. The only time I plan on driving anywhere is Friday night when we go to the Astros/Tigers game, and if the hotel offers a shuttle service, I will probably go that route.

Ripken is my main target for the show as I need him on a ROMLB.

Shawn, I saw you at the Tri-Star show in Arlington a couple of years back, so I'll make sure to introduce myself to you if I see you. Looks like we have a few board members who will be there. Will CHRIS make an appearance?

come on, give me some longhorns! :(

LOL, looks like Tristar heard you!! They just added Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams. There's a couple of Horns for ya. I'm more of a football grapher than any other so it looks like I know who I'm getting!!
