Pedro, Manny, Pujols, Ortiz, and more...

Good news, Manny is now done! To defend Manny, he wasn't the real problem with wanting more money. Pedro did want more though. They assumed Manny would be a problem as well, but he didn't have a problem with it at all. The only Manny not done was the person who sent the Manny Turkey Red box topper, since it was an oversized card they didn't want to press their luck with him. Not sure which sig Manny gave, the nice one or the MZ. Nevertheless, he's done.

Now for Pedro...
Well, that's good, I thought that Manny would be a bigger problem than Pedro, he never demanded trades every year.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Here is an update over everything guys, there is a Pujols snag Al wanted me to tell everyone about.
The Good...
David Ortiz http://jmacgraph.0moola.com/papi.jpg
Johan Santana http://jmacgraph.0moola.com/santana.jpg
Manny Ramirez (just got done the other day, so no scans yet)

The Bad...
Pedro is still not done, and if they can't get him by this weekend Al will refund everyone's money on him. Pedro is still wanting more money and obviously they don't want another Pujols situation (below).

The Ugly...
Like I said before, Albert was upset about the price he was getting for the cards. So they had to pay Alberto Castillo to get the rest of the cards done for them. Well Alberto apparantley done this for all the dealers around, and word got out to Pujols he was selling stuff he meant to be given to Alberto personally. So when Alberto went to ask Pujols for the rest of the cards, Albert refused. So basically, they paid $500 to get only twelve of the cards done. Granted its still not a bad Pujols price, it's not the $25 per. All the cards Pujols would not do, Al will be sending refunds and the book value on your card.

But the problem is, Al will have to refund everybody since he can't take a $250 loss on the entire thing refunding half of the senders. So the only fair way he could think of to resolve this nightmare was to offer the people who got their cards done, the option to pay an additional $25 and get their card. Otherwise he'll have to refund you as well. He apologizes for the entire thing, but he simply cannot lose money from doing this.

Here http://jmacgraph.0moola.com/pujols.jpg is the scans for all the Pujols cards he got done. Below is the list of everyone who DID get their Pujols card done. If you want to pay another $25, or want a refund, just let Al know. E-mail him at Xixor1@aol.com. Everyone else will be refunded who didn't get their card done.
Dan Carrier, Gonzalo Silva, Paul Crabtree, Mike McCoy, Mark Viloria, Eric Hayden, Andrew Sisson, Jordan Goss, Jim South, Robert Arriaga and Sean Hare.

I personally don't think $50 is a good price for a Pujols signed card. For a baseball, that is a different story. Also, some people probably won't be happy that they were signed in black sharpie.

Hey guys,
Here is an update on all of those signings...

David Ortiz and Johan Santana signings were both done a few days ago, and both went great. Al shipped them to himself back in New York, and he expects them on Thursday. He also will have a TON of Johan stuff to sell if interested. He invested in about 36 balls, 8 hats, and other stuff.

Albert Pujols signing is done, and Al should have everything by next week. Pujols was very upset with the low fee that was charged, but they talked him into it as they didn't want the headache of refunding everyone.

They were busy doing signings at the WBC (including Francisco Liriano, Victor Martinez, and others) and couldn't make it to Pedro and Manny. Both of those guys dropped out of the WBC, so they will have to drive out to each team's camp to get everything done. However, they hope to get those done sometime this week, and have them ready to send out to everyone by next week.

Al has become a partner with Jason in his company, Clubhouse Connections. I am in the process of producing a website for them. CC has generally sold all their stuff to companies, and they re-sold for profit. I'll let everyone know when that's done.

He will refund everyone if you don't want to pay the extra, it's no big deal, he just can't lose $250 for nothing. They did this mainly to help set collectors out, so don't think they're banking on you. If so it would have been over a hundred for a couple of those guys. These were the player fees only.

I agree with you 100%. Your friend did a very nice thing. I was just giving my opinion.

actually $50 is pretty good for a Pujols signed card....he was charging $125 per card at the winter warm fest for the Cards this year.

It's very easilly foreseen when the prices are that low and they organized this last minute. Like I said, they were helping set collectors out, and I don't appreciate your sarcasm. All I know is they won't be doing it again. Johan, Ortiz, and Manny are guaranteed done. Possibly still Pedro, who knows, but the players set the prices and change them at will. Maybe if they had these guys in their closet tied up it would be different.

I appreciate your efforts. I just e-mailed Al and he said he was going to be refund me $30 ($5 for the Pujols card and $25 for the fee).
