I just love the "because Alan makes money off Kusnick" comments. How much money have I made off of Josh or any of the signings with his players? ANSWER - I have lost money as of right now because on the Brantley signing, I paid the shipping both ways which wasnt factored in with the prices people paid.

So, say what you will of Kusnick and of me but don't continue to f-ing lie about me profitting off of any of it.

Josh is here because like many, he has been a member of this community for longer than most, he DOES still collect autographs and occasionally he does have athletes who people need graphs of. Whether he tells them to sign or not sign, they dont care. Its obvious from his other clients that sign pages that he doesnt wield a big enough sword to stop them. Players that are dicks will always be dicks. Nuff said!

PS - Scorcho, you and I have discussed this on the phone as well so I am amazed you posted today. I don't treat this site like a business. Had I been treating this like a business, believe me, I would be making money off of this site. I treat like site like the autograph community that it is. I use it, just like everyone else, to grow my collection. I serious hate when people put words in my mouth or try to speak about my "intentions" when you got no clue pal. Its comical that anyone, let alone you Scorcho, would actually think I make loot off this site. Maybe I should send my hosting bills your way for a few months and during that time, you can decide who comes, goes and what they say. Then you can see how much money I am "raking in" and explain to your wife and kids why money is leaving your bank account while the hope is to conserve in this crappy economy.

Alan - you said on the phone that you dont censor anyone...and that any and all comments are welcome as long as they are done without curse words and they dont hijack the thread. Has that changed - am I not allowed to tug on Superman's cape? You know I feel strongly about this topic - we discussed that at length.

I never said you rake in tons of money on this site. Never. My point is that you would (should) rather keep 50 paying members than keep one jerk. Those 50 unhappy members might decide to take their money, expertise, and connections elsewhere. And THAT is probably not good for business, correct? We already lost AL55 who is about as solid as they come...who will be next?

Your actions (or lack thereof) on this topic speak louder than your words. Think about that. The "agent" does not collect anything - he has even said so himself on this board. What if another member who was not an "agent" was working against us like this guy so blatantly is? Would that person be allowed to stay? I think not. If you get rid of this nonsense you would rid yourself of 99% of your headaches. Period.

Alan, I do not dislike you. This is just a topic that has been stewing for WAY too long.

Alan,

I am going to have to respectively disagree with you here. Whether or not he has been here longer than most, he does not contribute much other than some controversy and from these quotes, I don't believe he still collects:

"Nope, done with all my sets from when I collected"

"Off season is terrific, no time for mail these days, I never do IP, dont care about the sharpie and dont prep anything."

The quote from sjncomic about what he saw on another board, assuming it is true, does not really show anything good about Josh's character either.

We can also make assumptions about Adrian Nieto, but to me, how does a player know about sportsgraphing.com and let people know it in disgust, unless it was from their agent, whom not many people like around here?

Finally, referring to autograph collectors as "paparazzi-type people trying to get autographs of all the minor league guys" and in the same article then saying "I never really cared too much about getting autographs really", again, does not prove him to be beneficial to this board.

Not being a total dick and maybe offering up some help with his clients would be beneficial. I am not saying to offer up getting 25 cards per person signed, but maybe he could take a few items from the board and get them signed as a nice gesture and to show that he has something to offer besides a bunch of sarcasm and irritating posts.

I myself am having a hard time understanding why you want to keep him around and then if another Mod were to ban him for something so blatant, you will unban him when he comes back crying to you with his tail between his legs. Maybe you can enlighten us as to why you feel he should stay. Please provide some evidence from his posts as support.

Mike

Everyone that has been banned from this site collects autographs, and some had been around for a very long time. If you want other people to stop putting words in your mouth and saying things that aren't true, you need to be honest as well. You are the only member of this site that ever defends what Josh does on here and we all know that he doesn't get an extra long leash just because he claims to collect a few autographs on the side that he never once has shared with the board.

I know some members claim he should be off the board simply because he doesn't encourage his players to sign more and maybe even takes steps in the opposite direction but I disagree with that. That's his own business and has nothing to do with how welcome he is here. If he really had a genuine interest in autographs and participated in real discussions about it, I wouldn't mind his presence at all. Unfortunately, all of his posts are condescending at best and have nothing to do with sharing interest in the hobby. He's here to ruffle feathers because he's insecure and he enjoys the power he feels like he has here.

Just my $0.02:

I haven't been around as long as many others, so I only know about this Kusnick fellow through peripheral comments and some of his posts in the past few months. Whatever his personality may be, or his intentions, I think the decision to keep him as a member of the community should not be based on public opinion, but rather based on whether or not he has violated the message board rules. I also think his behavior in real life should not factor into the evaluation. Banning someone for their actions away from the baord would set a dangerous precedent, unless those actions spill over into the boards and become in direct violation of the board rules (particularly Rule #2: "Respect Others").

Just because someone may be an insufferable person in real life, doesn't mean they should be banned from here, unless they violate the rules and Alan believes their presence is detrimental to the community as a whole.

Well said and is the sole reason he isn't banned because of the opinion of a select few. The bottom line is the community isnt ran on the whim of some outspoken people, it's ran by me and the Mods as it was ran before I bought the site.

This isnt a democracy as much as some would think. We have site Rules and none of them relate to agents, brokers, players, etc signing, not signing, telling people to sign or not sign.

If Josh breaks the rules, he will get the appropriate term off the site just like others before him have.

Everyone that has been banned from this site collects autographs, and some had been around for a very long time.

And they were banned because they broke the rules.

If you want other people to stop putting words in your mouth and saying things that aren't true, you need to be honest as well. What I just wrote is honest. I dont defend Josh, I defend his right to be here because he hasnt broken any rules. There are people here thaty annoy the heck out of me but I dont ban them because its the principle that matters, not me or anyone elses opinion as to who is worthy or not.

I know some members claim he should be off the board simply because he doesn't encourage his players to sign more and maybe even takes steps in the opposite direction but I disagree with that. That's his own business and has nothing to do with how welcome he is here. Where is the Site Rule that states people be banned for this? Answer - there is none.

Unfortunately, all of his posts are condescending at best and have nothing to do with sharing interest in the hobby. He's here to ruffle feathers because he's insecure and he enjoys the power he feels like he has here.

He's been a non-issue on here for awhile. There are a few here that bring his name up over and over when all they need to do is stop talking about him. Trust me, he doesnt spend his day thinking about members on this site - why should anyone else worry about him? Some of you want to cause drama and fight with him to "prove your point". Dont give him or anyone that much of your life. Ignore him like 99% of the other members do. If he gets to you, thats on you.
